Memphis Rapper Snootie Wild Passes Away After Being Shot In Houston
Popular Houston rapper Snootie Wild was shot in the head last night, and died from his injuries.
Kia Shine, another Houston rapper, confirmed Snootie Wild has died from gunshot wounds he sustained in Houston.
Earlier in the day, a friend of Snootie Wild revealed he got shot in the neck in a Facebook post. “I’m praying for my #Memphis kinfolk @snootiewild,” Kia Shine wrote. “He was shot in houston in the neck and torso and is in critical condition. #snootiewild #KiaShine.”

Snootie Wild, who came home from prison last year, is best known for his hit single “Yayo” featuring Yo Gotti.
The song was originally released as a solo track and caught the attention of Gotti, who signed the Memphis native to CMG as part of a joint deal with Epic Records.
Snootie, real name LePreston Porter was rapper and singer. He was best known for his first single, “Yayo”, whose success helped launch his career. The song charted in the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In October 2013.
It was announced that a fellow Memphis-based rapper, Yo Gotti, had signed Wild to his Collective Music Group (CMG) imprint.
