Benzino Breaks Shuts Down Shauna Brooks Relationship Rumors: ‘I Am Straight & Always Will Be That’
Rapper and Former “Love & Hip Hop” star Benzino is rumored to have had relationship with transgender actress/model Shauna Brooks.
He began trending after a footage of what appears to be recorded conversations between 56-year-old Benzino (born Raymond Leon Scott) and Shauna Brooks, 32, leaked earlier this week.
In the audio, a male’s voice that appears to be Benzino can be heard telling Shauna Brooks that it “looks bad” for him to have a relationship with a trans woman and he will be judged harshly for it.

After receiving backlash for outing the rapper and reality star, Brooks took to Twitter to clarify she did not have ill intent. She wrote,
“My intent is NEVER to ‘out’ any1 but MY truth is always T while it‘s PAINFUL to relive PUBLICLY… I’m TIRED of men LOVING girls like us ONLY behind closed doors & treating us as if we’re disposable when it’s NO longer convenient. They want you to be their toy on their time.”

Reacting to the whole shenanigans, Benzino took to Twitter last night to clear the air. He first shared a snippet from the film ‘False Advertisement, and writes: “This is the movie that me and Shauna Brooks played in. Though we never did scenes together, the director gave my number to Shauna because she wanted to rent out the Crab Trap for an event, I had a couple of conversations and still to this day we never met in person.”
In a second tweet, Benzino shares a poster of the film’s cast, and says, “The movie is a comedy/drama and the first time I ever did a comedy. It already won an award and is debuting on Tubi next month. Don’t be fooled by fools who just want to defame my character.”
In his third tweet, Benzino adds, “They won’t get away with it but until then I will keep my progress and still treat people with respect while displaying professionalism no matter what race or gender they happen to be. I know who I am as well as the people who know and love me, anyone else doesn’t matter anyway.”
Finally, addressing his sexuality, Benzino affirms, “I respect the LGBTQ community but I am straight and always will be that #zinovstheplanet.”
