Coco Austin Responds To Comments About Pushing 6-Year-Old Daughter In Stroller
Earlier this week, Ice T and his wife Coco showed off a picture of the couple on a family vacation in the Bahamas, and it sparked outrage online.
The two were seen pushing their adorable 6 year old girl in a stroller – provided by the hotel.
“A stroll through the @atlantisbahamas shops. Chanel is so over it unless theres something cool to see.. Her face transitions instantly,” Coco wrote in the caption.

The image caused a firestorm on Twitter. Fans began debating what the appropriate age is for a child to be in a stroller. And the debate got pretty heated.
According to Dr. Brandon Smith, general academic pediatrics fellow in the Department of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, “In general, strollers shouldn’t be necessary past the age of 3.”
“By that point, children should be walking and running without issue and don’t need a stroller to get around. Also, we want to promote their independence and proper motor development, and we can’t do that if they’re sitting every time they go outside.”
Coco caught wind of the backlash and decided to respond. Taking to Twitter, she wrote; “This stroller thing trending right now about me using a stroller to push Chanel around is ridiculous! Isnt there a war & mass shootings going as we speak & you’d rather mess with my mothering? SMH”
