DaBaby Escapes Being Charged For Shooting Home Trespasser In The Leg
DaBaby Will Not Be Charged For Shooting Home Trespasser In The Leg
No criminal charges will be filed in the shooting that injured a man outside the mansion of Charlotte rapper DaBaby last month, according to the latest update by the Troutman Police Department.
As we previously reported, officers responded to a report of a shooting at DaBaby’s North Carolina home at 7:45 p.m. on April 13.
There, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, authorities said. Police explained that an unknown gunman entered the home, potentially scaling high walls around the property to do so, and was then shot.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Following the incident, DaBaby responded to the shooting in an Instagram post. He said at the time, “I chose not to take a n***a life the other day & it felt great,” he said.
“Buddy ain’t deserve to go, I step righteously. Heal up & live my boy! Just don’t bring ya (expletive) back.” On May 5, Troutman Police said the investigation into the shooting had been “completed and closed.”
“Investigators have consulted the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office and there will be no criminal charges filed at this time,” a police press release said.
