Dancing Is Happiness Guy Arrested By Police In New York City

Internet sensation Jazz Ajilo aka Dancing is happiness was arrested, and his instruments were damaged when the officers returned them to him.

The arrest news of Tiktok star and street performer in New York has saddened and angered many people. Netizens argue that he has been trying to earn money to feed his family and that officers should just let him be.

Jazzajilo, a street musician, has entertained people through his performance for several years. However, recently he was arrested while performing at 34th Herald Square on June 23. There was some permit issue, but many people have been asking law enforcement to let him go. He also shared his side of the story on Instagram and Tiktok.

He claimed that he had been performing in the same spot on and off for the last five years, and no one had any problem with him. In fact, the police officers nearby would smile at him and cheer for him whenever they used to see him perform.

He added that he was handcuffed that had even left his wrist injured. He shared how emotionally distressed he is because he is just trying to make some money to feed his family.

He has four autistic children at home, and his saxophone was damaged when the police returned it to him. He also said that his dancers ( the stuffed animals) were also incomplete and broken.

Dancing Is Happiness Guy, aka Jazzajilo, is facing some charges for performing in the streets without a permit. He said he got four pink tickets and is set to appear in court on July 13 at Kings and New York Criminal Court.

He asked the people to help him gather some funds so that he could pay for attorneys and cover up his lost income.
