Former Cowboys RB Marion Barber Was Found Dead In His Apartment
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber was found dead in his apartment by Frisco police on Wednesday.
A Frisco police spokesperson announced, “Officers are currently out on a welfare concern, but we are unable to provide any further information at this time.”
Barber was an all star running back who played seven years in the NFL. Six of those years were with the Cowboys. The cause of his death is unknown at this time.

the Cowboys released a statement on Wednesday saying, “We are heartbroken by the tragic death of Marion Barber III,” the team said.
“Marion was an old-school, hard-nosed football player who ran with the will to win every down. He had a passion for the game and love for his coaches and teammates. Our hearts go out to Marion’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
The NFL also released a statement saying, “The NFL mourns the tragic loss of Marion Barber III and we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.”
