Kenan Thompson Officially Files For Divorce From Wife Christina Evangeline

It was reported back in April that SNL star Kenan Thompson and his wife Christina Evangeline wife had decided to separate after 11 years of marriage.

At the time, neither of them had filed for divorce and were successfully co-parenting their daughters Georgia and Gianna. However, Kenan has reportedly went ahead in taking the next steps in his separation.

According to online records, Kenan filed last month in New York to make split from Christina Evangeline all legal. Sources connected with the former couple tell TMZ that two have agreed to share 50/50 custody. It was also said that they are still living close to one another in NYC to make the custody arrangement easier for everyone involved, especially the kids.

An insider told US Weekly, “Being married for 11 years, together for 14, changes a lot of things. They really just grew apart and wanted different things,” the source says, adding, “There’s nothing juicy about why they split.”

The insider also said previously said that even after they submit the paperwork, the Good Burger star plans to stay involved in his kids’ lives like he’s always been.

“Kenan’s very active in his daughters’ lives. He’s an amazing father, especially given his schedule and obligations,” the insider adds. “The kids spend majority of the time with their mom but he always makes sure to see them.”

Thompson, 43, and Evangeline, 33, dated for four years before tying the knot in a 2011 private ceremony at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. A source previously said that Kenan who is the longest-running cast member on ‘SNL,’ he joined back in 2003 after successful gigs across multiple Nickelodeon shows, and the actress, just simply grew apart, but remain great friends.
