The underage victim who was featured in the original 2002 explicit tape that sparked the criminal investigation into R. Kelly claims in new legal documents that she experienced “financial issues” after R Kelly’s recent arrest.

The woman – who is now in her 30s, did not specify exactly what happened, to cause her to face a sudden financial disruption, the court papers showed.

The disgraced singer has being found guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering, and the I Believe I Can Fly singer could be sentenced up to 25 years in prison. Since his arrest, he’s lost access to all of his fortune – and has stopped sending out payments to family, friends and other.

Bankruptcy documents showed the woman had only $300 in her Bank of America checking account. She had another $3,800 in her 401k plan.

Her debt included $6k owed on the car, $2,000 on an American Express card, $1,500 to Best Buy, $2,537 to Capital One, $1,487 to Chase Bank for an overdraft account, over $1,200 in unpaid automobile rentals, $2k to Saks Fifth Avenue and $2k to Neiman Marcus.

The alleged victim also owed the City of Chicago $900 for unpaid traffic & parking tickets from 2014 through 2019. She also owed the City of Los Angeles $178 for tickets from the same time period. The debts also included $1,872 in medical bills.

The woman also racked up a $250 debt at Forever 21.
