Spotify Isn’t Feeling Drake’s New Album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’

Drake has noe released his follow-up to last year’s Certified Lover Boy. It’s titled Honestly, Nevermind. The new album has since been getting mixed reactions from fans on social media.

A lot of people seem to be disappointed with the album. Apparently, Spotify was also unimpressed with it and they couldn’t hold back.

“This new Drake album isn’t what you expect. Honestly, Nevermind out now,” Spotify tweeted, adding a streaming link. The tweet quickly went viral as a shade to the Toronto superstar. Not long after, Spotify deleted the tweet but we already got the message.

The new LP includes 14 songs, and was executive produced by Drake, longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, Drake’s manager Oliver El-Khatib, Noel Cadastre, and Black Coffee. 21 Savage is the album’s sole featured artist, appearing on the last track titled “Jimmy Cooks.”

Honestly, Nevermind features extensive production from Black Coffee, Gordo, Alex Lustig (who also plays keys on “Calling My Name”), and Beau Nox (who plays guitar on “Overdrive” and sings on “Down Hill”).

Congolese singer Mukengerwa “Tresor” Riziki appears as an “additional vocalist” on “Currents,” “Down Hill,” and “Tie That Binds.” The album was engineered by Shebib, Luca Pretolesi, and Noel Cadastre.

The rapper announced his new LP on Instagram yesterday evening (June 16). The post simply included an image of the album art with the caption: “7th studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ out at midnight.” Listen to the album below:
