Brittish Cierrah Williams was indicted by a federal grand jury Sept. 22 on five felony charges of misuse of a Social Security number, four charges of bank fraud, three charges of making false statements to the IRS, three charges of wire fraud and three charges of aggravated identity theft.
Prosecutors say Brittish used false Social Security numbers in 2017 to obtain loans, lines of credit and other funds from financial institutions. In 2018 and 2019, Williams deposited four checks ranging in value between $4,500 and $5,800 into accounts that she controlled and withdrew the money before the checks bounced or banks realized they were fraudulent, prosecutors said.
The owners of the checks were unaware of the deposits, prosecutors said. She also falsely claimed dependents on her 2017-2019 tax returns, using false names and Social Security numbers, prosecutors said.
Brittish was granted bail pending trail, and now prosecutors want that bail revoked – and want her sent to prison.

Prosecutors are reportedly saying that she admitted to two instances of traveling without approval to a federal official. The first trip was to Dallas, Texas in December 2021 – for a friend’s birthday. Brittish reportedly said she did not ask for permission because the decision was “last minute”, and she did not think permission would be granted if requested.
The Basketball Wives star reportedly took another trip from Missouri to New York in October 2021 that was not approved. Prosecutors said Williams’ behavior shows “she does not respect the gravity of the Indictment against her, or her bond conditions.”
Prosecutors are also alleging that British may still be conducting frauds – while out on bail. According to the feds, Brittish was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident. However, the government said she did not report the incident to the court as ordered.
The government said they were notified of a “new Federal investigation for alleged fraud related to insurance claims.” They claim Williams told police after the October accident that she had no injuries and only minor damage to her car. However, she submitted a bill to her insurance company for medical treatment totaling $16,206.
