Jacob Blake’s Father Arrested In Akron During Protest, Had Seizure & Was Rushed To The Hospital

Jacob Blake Sr., father of Jacob Blake Jr., was arrested by Akron police Wednesday night during the protest of the shooting of Jayland Walker.

According to The Journal Times, Jacob Sr. had to be transported to a hospital shortly after he was detained.

His brother, Justin Blake, said he has several health conditions, ‘including heart problems, that got exacerbated by his encounter with the police.’ He is currently in stable condition.

The Akron police department issued a warrant for Blake Sr.’s arrest Thursday afternoon according to municipal records, charging Blake Sr. with rioting, resisting arrest, failing to disperse and disorderly conduct.’

If you remember his son, Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old living in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was shot multiple times in his back this weekend by a police officer who has since been identified as Rusten Sheskey about a year ago.

The United States Justice Department said in a statement Friday that Sheskey will not face any federal charges for the August 2020 shooting and added, “the evidence obtained is insufficient to prove that the KPD officer willfully used excessive force.”

Officials claimed federal prosecutors from the Civil Rights Division and U.S. Attorney’s Office looked over the evidence to determine if Sheskey violated any federal laws as per TMZ.
