Keke Palmer Refuses To Be A Victim Of Colorism

Actress Keke Palmer was the talk of the internet this weekend, after a number of mainstream media outlets began reporting that her career was “stalled” because of colorist people in Hollywood.

Well, Keke is not taking kindly to those reports. The beautiful and successful actress is fighting back against the reports, and telling her fans that she’s proud of her career – which by most objective measures – has been hugely successful.

Keke started off her response, which was published on Twitter, explaining her success as a talk show host, a child star on Nickelodeon, and her accolades on Broadway.

“A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone. I’m the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer,” she tweeted.

The she dropped the mic, after naming all the top Hollywood films where she was the lead actress. Not the least of which is her current movie Nope, which is currently the number one film in the world.

“I’ve been a leading lady since I was 11 years old. I have over 100+ credits, and currently starring in an original screenplay that’s the number one film at the box office #NOPE. I’ve had a blessed career thus far, I couldn’t ask for more but God continues to surprise me.”
