The retail giant’s net growth in the third quarter of 2022 is $1.186 billion. This is much less, or more than a $100 million loss, compared to $1.297 billion, which was their previous year’s last quarter net growth.
GameStop’s inventory value also recorded a slight drop. $1.14 billion dollars was valued during the third quarter of last year. This year, it was reduced to $1.13 billion.
GameStop Corp. is an American video game, consumer electronics, and gaming merchandise retailer. The company is headquartered in Grapevine, Texas (a suburb of Dallas), and is the largest video game retailer worldwide.
As of 29 January 2022, the company operates 4,573 stores including 3,018 in the United States, 231 in Canada, 417 in Australia and 907 in Europe under the GameStop, EB Games, EB Games Australia, Micromania-Zing, ThinkGeek and Zing Pop Culture brands. The company was founded in Dallas in 1984 as Babbage’s, and took on its current name in 1999.
