Nipsey Hussle’s Killer Eric Holder Sentenced To 60 Years To Life

Eric R. Holder Jr., the man who gunned down rapper Nipsey Hussle back in 2019 outside of his Marathon clothing store, was found guilty of first-degree murder.

Holder received 25 years to life on the murder count. He was also sentenced to another 25 years to life because a gun was used and another 10 years for shooting two other people that same day.

“It was always going to be tough given the high-profile circumstances surrounding the case,” Holder’s attorney Aaron Jansen told ABC News.

“We are grateful that the jury agreed with us, in part, that the case was overcharged and voted to acquit Mr. Holder, Jr. of the two attempted murder charges.”

Hussle, legal name is Ermias Asghedom, grew up as members of the Rollin’ 60s in South LA. Sources says Holder was also an aspiring rapper but failed to gain success in the industry like Hussle did.

Nipsey was a rapper, entrepreneur, and activist. Emerging from the West Coast hip hop scene in the mid-2000s, Hussle independently released his debut mixtape, Slauson Boy Volume 1, to moderate local success, which led to him being signed to Cinematic Music Group and Epic Records.

Outside of music, Hussle inaugurated the Marathon Clothing store, which he founded along with partners Carless, the head of the agency, Karen Civil, and his brother Samiel Asghedom in 2017, and started a co-working environment which he named “Vector 90”.
