Kanye West Now Has Access To His $75 Million Frozen By Adidas

A judge has approved Kanye West’s motion to have $75 million of his money frozen by Adidas returned to him.

US District Judge Valerie Caproni in Manhattan denied Adidas’ assertions that it needed a temporary restraining order to ensure that the funds remain available during its dispute with Ye.

The sportswear brand cut ties with Ye following a series of anti-Semitic rants on social media.

“Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” the statement read at the time.

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

The judge claimed Adidas did not give Yeezy an opportunity to challenge the freeze and that Adidas hadn’t shown that it would suffer “irreparable harm” if the funds weren’t frozen.

According to Bloomberg, Kanye is still is owed an 11% piece of each Yeezy product sold. This means he is still owed more than $140 million from the $1.3 billion of inventory Adidas still holds.
