Fetty Wap Should Be Sentenced Up To 9 Years For For Large Scale Narcotics Trafficking, Feds Say

New York prosecutors are asking a judge to sentence rapper Fetty Wap to up to nine years behind bars for his part in a bi-coastal drug ring, labeling him a “large-scale narcotics trafficker.”

The hip hop star — whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II — pleaded guilty in August in a Central Islip federal case accusing him of peddling 25 kilograms of cocaine in New Jersey early in the pandemic.

The 31-year-old “Trap Queen” rhymer, a Paterson native, copped to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.

He faces a minimum of five years and a maximum 40 years at his Wednesday sentencing. He’s been locked up since August.

FBI agents arrested him prior to his performance at Rolling Loud New York in October 2021. Now Fetty’s lawyer claims he had no choice but to commit crime due to the pandemic.

In a Thursday letter to the judge, prosecutors say Maxwell took part “in a massive drug trafficking organization that flooded Long Island, as well as the surrounding areas, with a tremendous amount of controlled substances.”

Officials say Fetty Wap used private jets and tour buses to transport 100 kilos of cocaine from California for distribution on the East Coast. According to the feds.
