Janelle Monae used to be known best for her amazing vocals, and her musical genius. Now she’s known for the woman who takes off her top any time she gets the chance.

Janelle has been getting more and more risqué with her image – in a blatant attempt to increase her popularity and album sales.

Last month, the singer flashed her br**sts during a performance, and she shows them off in the music video for “Lipstick Lover” and the artwork for her new album, The Age of Pleasure.

Well Janelle is definitely a lot more popular. But her album sales, not so much.

According to reports reaching us at Dreddsworld, “The Age of Pleasure” by Janelle Monae is heading for a Top 20 debut with a projected 26K sales in its first week.

“The people are beginning to get sick of hoes, and gimmicks. If we want hoes there are plenty to choose from. We don’t want this from Janelle too,” someone commented. “If the music is good you don’t even need to see her doing any of this to notice her talent,” another person wrote.

“Notice Lauryn Hill, Anita Baker and Whitney Houston never had to resort to this. Same for Taylor Swift and Patti Labelle. Talent always wins. And Janelle makes garbage music now. Not interested in her album, though I would watch her in a p*rn* for sure,” someone else added.
