Man Arrested Outside Of Barack Obama’s Home For Allegedly Trying To Blow It Up With Explosives

A suspected white supremacist was arrested outside of Barack Obama’s house after he tried to break in and blow it up with his own explosives.

According to CBS News, the Secret Service spotted Taylor Taranto within blocks of Obama’s home. Taranto tried to flee, but the Secret Service chased him.

He was running toward the Obama home, but was apprehended before reaching it. Taranto’s van was parked close to where he was arrested which had multiple weapons and the materials to make some kind of explosive device akin to a Molotov cocktail, but it had not been assembled.

He had said he had explosives, but first responders only found the materials to make them.

U.S. Officials were already concerned because Taranto was reportedly on live streams seemingly threatening Obama in recent weeks, including reposting a Truth Social post on Thursday by former President Donald Trump that purported to include Obama’s home address.

Taranto also had an active warrant out for his arrest for his involvement in the infamous Jan. 6 insurrection. So officials believe it was definitely a targeted attack.

Taranto has been charged with being a fugitive from justice, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
