Tori Bowie Was 8 Months Pregnant & Undergoing Labor At The Time Of Death

A few weeks ago, Olympic gold medalist Tori Bowie passed away at 32. Details are now being revealed about the nature of her death.

According to TMZ, Tori passed away from complications at child birth.

According to the coroner’s report obtained by TMZ, Tori was 8 months pregnant at her time of death. She was “undergoing labor” at her home when she suffered an unspecified complication and died on May 2.

Tori’s loved ones became concerned after they’d gone several days without hearing from her and called police to do a welfare check on the young athlete.

When deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office entered her home, they found Tori deceased.

Tori was an American track and field athlete, who primarily competed in the long jump, 100 meters, and 200 meters.

She won the silver medal in the 100 m and bronze in the 200 m at the 2016 Rio Olympics, bronze and gold in the 100 m at the 2015 and 2017 World Championships, respectively, and also earned gold medals as part of U.S. women’s 4 × 100 m relays at both the 2016 Olympic Games and 2017 World Championships.
