Twitter Reacts To The Weekend’s Sex Scene In The Idol

The Weeknd’s sex scene in HBO’s “the idol” is receiving some mixed reviews after fans were shocked at how “vulgar” the scene was.

One twitter user shared her thoughts on the film and said “I’ll never see The Weeknd the same after this.”

With another person chiming in saying, “wait the idol is so good when they focus on jocelyn’s life until that corny the weeknd came and ruined the show with the oversexualized wattpad dialogue.”

According to Page Six, the film already received backlash before it aired because it was described as a “rape fantasy” and now fans are even more upset after seeing these sex scenes.

However, His co-star, Lily-Rose Depp, 24, has maintained a positive attitude since the show’s debut at the Cannes Film Festival despite being criticized for showing too much.

“I love Abel so much,” Depp said of her co-star and the show’s executive producer during a breakdown of Episode 1 that aired post-premiere.

“He was able to melt into this role in a way that is really difficult for anybody to do.”
