Cam’ron Addresses Being Called Gay For Wearing Pink

Cam’ron is the rapper known for making pink hot in hip-hop. But on his It Is What It Is podcast with Mase, the Dipset rapper explained that folks sometimes questioned his sexuality for rocking the seemingly feminine color.

“This all jokes aside, this word to everything I love. Being celebrities and being in the public eye, if you wasn’t nobody, nobody would give a f-ck. You know how long I had to hear, ‘Cam’s gay, he wears pink’?” said Cam.

He continued, “Bring your mother around, n-gga. See if she gives a fuck, n-gga. See if your mom gives a whole f-ck, n-gga. I’ll tell her how gay I am. I’ll f-ck her in the pink mink, n-gga. The f-ck is you talking ’bout, n-gga?”

Kid Cudi recently revealed he receives “homophobic” messages on Twitter. The rapper has rocked dresses in the past and regular wears colored nail polish.

“[You] know what’s crazy, and really makes me question the world we live in, is when I post a picture of me smiling on IG and there’s mad comments questioning my sexuality floodin’ my page w[ith] insults,” he said. “I feel really bad for y’all, man. It’s sad out here. Man can’t even smile and be happy no more. Smh.”

“I never felt he was gay, just flamboyant,” a fan commented.

“I actually think gays are obsessed with their gayness it’s the number one topic, discussion, concern we get it you’re gay moving right along no no no that’s not enough attention I need more empathy for my sexual preference …. Pathetic!!!!!” another person wrote.
