Colin Kaepernick Says He Still Trains For NFL Comeback Every Day
Colin Kaepernick Is Still Preparing For An NFL Comeback
Colin Kaepernick is still preparing for an NFL comeback, the quarterback and civil rights activist says.
“I still train for it every day. I still prepare for it every day,” Kaepernick, 35, tells USA Today.
“More than anything is trying to get someone to open the door and evaluate me based upon the merits of what I can do on the field, as opposed to it being a political issue.”

He says that he still trains five to six days out of the week and has thrown 60 yards or more during private workouts. But still, he remains unsigned and, at age 35, isn’t getting any younger.
Colin played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL).
In 2016, he knelt during the national anthem at the start of NFL games in protest of police brutality and racial inequality in the United States.
His protests received renewed attention in 2020 amid the George Floyd protests against police brutality and racism, but he remains unsigned by any professional football team.
