Lil Pump Announces Retirement From Rap

Rapper Lil Pump says he’s retiring from rap and surprisingly, he’s going to be an astronaut instead.

“PSA, PSA,” he wrote on social media. “I will not be making music anymore. I retire. I’m finna go be an astronaut. Bye.”

Fans are unsure whether they should believe that he’s truly retired, as he sometimes plays pranks.

In 2019, Lil Pump dropped his project Harverd Dropout. The album debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 chart, featured Kanye West, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, YG and more and moved 48,000 units in its first week.

The rapper released his sophomore album, Lil Pump 2, which serves as the sequel to his debut album of the same name months back. The album was released on March 17.

Despite receiving more promotion on social media, the album was another commercial failure, with the album failing to land on any chart.

Some fans are saying it might be time for the rapper to walk away.
