Court Orders R. Kelly's Record Label To Pay His Victims Over $500K In Royalties

Court Orders R. Kelly’s Record Label To Pay His Victims Over $500K In Royalties

It’s not looking too good for R. Kelly even more! The R&B singer has lost more than $500k in royalties now that record label Universal has been ordered by the court to turn the royalties over in disbursements to his alleged victims.

In court documents obtained by HipHopDX, a third party citation was issued by the District of Illinois back in May giving Kelly and the record label until June 21 to answer interrogatories.

After failing to do so, Kelly will unfortunately have to pay up! The court believes that Kelly’s label is in “possession” of property that can be used to pay down the debt that he owes his victims.

As of right now, Kelly’s victims have allegedly only received about $27k. If you remember, the singer is currently serving 20 years in prison for child sex crimes he committed against the victims involved.

Couple of weeks back, the disgraced R&B star complained about the state of the prison’s medical system in an audio that leaked online.

“I don’t deserve to die because somebody miscommunicated or somebody took a guess at what’s going on with my leg. I’m not supposed to die this way. You’re not even supposed to take a chance on that,” the singer complained.
