Young Thug Denied Bail Again Despite Lawyer’s Concerns About His Health

Young Thug will continue to be behind bars until his long-awaited trial begins. According to 11 Alive News, Thug was denied bond once again despite pushback from his lawyers.

Thug’s defense argued to the judge that Thug’s health is reportedly diminishing as his days in the slammer continue.

They claim he is “languishing” in jail, sleep deprived due to court appearances and eating many foods lacking in nutrition.

“This lifestyle has caused physical harm to Mr. Williams,” his lawyer said, adding that issues with his kidneys coupled with the environment in the jail had caused him to gain weight.

“Mr. Williams has seen no sunlight since May 9, 2022 and the only fresh air that he receives is during the time that the doors are open on transport to and from the Courthouse,” the filing states. “Additionally, exercise is limited in the small jail cell.”

Prosecutors argued that despite all of this, Thug could still be a threat to witnesses if he were to be released, and the judge agreed, denying his bond once again.

Now, he is just waiting inside until his trial to begin in the coming weeks.
