Megan Thee Stallion Reacts To Tory Lanez’ 10 Years Sentence
Megan Thee Stallion Releases Statement Following Tory Lanez Sentence
Megan Thee Stallion released a statement via the DA after Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting her in both feet in 2020.
“I struggle with being present. After everything that occurred I cannot bring myself back to being in the same room with Tory,” Megan wrote in the statement read by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta read.
“I’ve been tormented and terrorized.” She continued: “He paid bloggers to disseminate false information, he treated my trauma like a joke when I could’ve been dead. He blamed the system, he blamed the press, and as of late he is using his childhood trauma to justify his actions.”

“Slowly but surely, I’m healing. But I’ll never be the same. His crime warrants the full weight of the law.”
Lanez has been behind bars since the end of 2022. He faced up to 22 years and eight months in prison and deportation. Prosecutors wanted a minimum sentence of 13 years.
Tory Lanez’s attorney Jose Baez made a statement at a press conference. “To get a ten-year sentence is extreme and just another example of someone being punished for their celebrity status and someone being utilized to send an example. And he’s not an example, he’s a human being,” Baez told reporters.
Baez added that Lanez is “incredibly sad and down” as any other person would be.
