Danny Masterson’s Wife “Distraught” After Rape Sentencing But Will Not Divorce Him

Danny Masterson’s wife Bijou Phillips is reportedly “distraught” after he was sentenced to 30 years in prison in his rape case last week.

“She has had a very difficult time since the conviction,” an insider told PEOPLE.

“She loves Danny and has no plans to file for divorce. She will be by his side for it all.” The insider added that Phillips is “surrounded by family and friends” amid her husband’s legal troubles.

“She is in touch with his lawyer. They are planning appeals. She tries to stay hopeful.”

The actor and Scientologist pleaded not guilty to three counts of felony rape after three women stepped forward to claim that he raped them between 2001 and 2003.

After a mistrial last December, prosecutors went back to court earlier this year, where on May 31, a second jury found Masterson guilty of sexually assaulting Jen B. and N. Trout.

The panel was deadlocked, however, on the third count involving Chrissy B.
