Britney Spears Visited By The Cops Over Viral Knife Dance Video

Cops pulled up at Britney Spears’ residence to perform another wellness check after the singer posted a video to Instagram of her dancing and twirling with knives.

“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon !!!” she captioned the post.

The post troubled some fans and it seems at least one person may have put a call into the police department to check on the star and make sure she’s doing okay. Someone close to Spears called authorities “genuinely concerned about her wellbeing,” Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Captain Dean Worthy told CNN.

“Some would argue this is her expressing her creative freedom, and some might argue this is dangerous and there’s a safety issue or mental health concern,” said Worthy, but authorities opted to check on the singer’s well-being due to the initial call from someone close to Spears.

Back in January, police were called to her home after fans were concerned about her Instagram posts.

“​The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately,” she wrote at the time.

“This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media.”
