Earlier this year, Footage emerged of Foolio in custody after being apprehended for alleged excessive window tint and felony fleeing in an April 2022 traffic stop.
Homicide detectives then questioned the Jacksonville rapper about the murder of his friend, Mitch, who was killed in January 2022. A detective asked if Foolio felt his music played a role in the violence around him.
“It’s a blessing and a curse,” Foolio said. “You can’t just say it’s my music that’s why somebody died. No, a song can’t make no n-gga do nothing, bro.”
The part of the three-hour interrogation featuring Foolio by himself singing a cappella to Rod Wave’s “Dark Clouds” went viral on social media.
