Tyrese Hit With $10M Defamation Lawsuit Following Breakfast Club Appearance

Tyrese Gibson has been hit with a $10 million defamation of character lawsuit for comments made on The Breakfast Club.

Director Bryan Barber is suing the R&B crooner over negative statements he made about him on the radio show.

“The director who I hired, this n-gga has taken the f-cking footage and refused to give it back! I paid $35,000 total for this whole sh-t. Then I found out he did it to Big Boi, did it to Dallas Austin, did it to a couple n-ggas. So, I don’t care if he sees this interview, ’cause I’m too honest,” he said.

Barker is accusing the actor of attacking his “character and reputation.”

He states that “Barber took Gibson’s [interview] footage and refused to give it back; Gibson paid [Barber] $35,000.00 total to film the interview footage; and Barber also stole footage from two other public figures – Big Boi and Dallas Austin.”

According to Barber, “Gibson refused to adhere to the previous 50/50 revenue split that he and Barber previously negotiated for the CTG Interview,” the document reads.

Barber is asking for damages in the amount of no less than $10 million.
