Jeannie Mai Denies Keeping Daughter Away From Jeezy

Jeannie Mai is slamming Jeezy’s claim that she’s gate keeping their daughter from him amid their divorce, claiming she’s just trying to keep their baby girl safe, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

Jeannie has no issue with Jeezy seeing his daughter she just wants his firearms locked up.

Jeannie’s attorneys wrote … “It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being.”

Her team continued,”These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.”

As we previously reported, Jeezy also denied claims Jeannie Mai was blindsided by the divorce. This was after Mai told Hudson that she found out about Jeezy filing for divorce at the same time as the rest of the world and was “gutted.”

A source close to the rapper told TMZ afterward that her comments were “absolutely false,” noting that “the clear signs of their uncoupling were long established and manifesting right before their eyes.”

They revealed that the two spent ample time in marriage counseling, trying out several therapists before Jeezy concluded that it was time to move on.
