Joe Budden Apologizes For Calling NBA YoungBoy’s Music “Trash”

Joe Budden used his podcast to apologize to NBA YoungBoy after calling the rapper’s music “trash.”

“I owe NBA an apology, too. Let’s start with accountability. I owe him an apology,” he said.

“He don’t even bother nobody. [I] gotta be more responsible than that. That was totally wrong. Not cool. You wanna be the bridge. You wanna be the OG that is the bridge,” Budden added.

After Budden’s music review, YoungBoy mocked Budden’s music sales…but Budden said he is way bigger than the young rapper.

“I just wanna say, I’m way bigger than him. Stop this. Dawg, you young idiots get fooled by these label metrics and these digital tricks. Would you like me to read you the numbers on YoungBoy’s last six projects? Alright.”

He continued, “I mean, I don’t want to. I didn’t think I had to do this. ‘Cause I’m sure someone here is recording. 2022, Never Broke Again, Quando Rondo LLC, 14,000 copies week one, Billboard position 62. Then you have Fed Baby’s, Moneybagg Yo, 2017, 21,000 week one. 3800 Degrees, October 7, 2022, 24,000.”

“What else we got? Better Than You with DaBaby, March 4, 2022, 28,000. Until I Return, 2020, 29,000. Stop this, yo. Stop,” he added.
