Pete Davidson Admits He Was High On Ketamine When He Attended Aretha Franklin’s Funeral
Pete Davidson says he was high on ketamine when he attended Aretha Franklin’s funeral in 2018 with his then-fiancée Ariana Grande.
He made the claims in his new Netflix comedy special Turbo Fonzarelli.
Pete says he would take the drug to treat depression. “I’m embarrassed I was out and about like that. That’s not cool,” he said.

“I was so high I thought it’d be a good idea to go up to her family and go, ‘Hey! I’m just here to pay my R-E-S-P-E-C-Ts,” he said.
The comedian added that he doesn’t think the late singer would have even known who he was. “’Hey! Who are you and what the f-ck are you doing at my funeral?’” he joked. “It’s embarrassing.”
Pete entered in-patient therapy at a treatment center this summer to address issues related to post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder last summer.
“Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,” a source close to Davidson told PEOPLE. “His friends and family have been supportive during this time.”
