Let’s keep Yo Gotti’s family in our prayers! The rappers brother, Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, was shot and killed Saturday in Memphis.

According to TMZ, the tragic incident happened after he had just finished attending a funeral several in the area.

Our condolences to Gotti and his family. We pray God grant the fortitude to bare the lost.

Mario Sentell Giden Mims (born May 19, 1981), known professionally as Yo Gotti, is an American rapper. In 1996, he released his debut album Youngsta’s On a Come Up under the alias Lil Yo.

He went on to release From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game (2000), Self-Explanatory (2001), Life (2003), Back 2 da Basics (2006), Live from the Kitchen (2012), I Am (2013), The Art of Hustle (2016), I Still Am (2017), Untrapped (2020), and CM10: Free Game (2022).

Gotti founded the record label Collective Music Group (CMG) in 2012, which has gone on to sign successful acts including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, GloRilla, EST Gee, and Mozzy.

Gotti’s eleventh studio album, CM10: Free Game, was set for release in November 2021, until the album was delayed for unknown reasons. It was eventually released in February 2022. It is a double-disc album, consisting of the discs: “Free” and “Game”.

On March 29, 2023, a shooting in Memphis, TN occurred at Privé Restaurant, which was purchased by Gotti for his mother.
