The LSU Tigers (31-5) had an amazing 78-69 win against the UCLA Bruins (27-7) in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 on Saturday. However, LSU star Angel Reese, has since been trending following a controversial moment during the game.

Reese appeared to hurl a bit of trash talk toward a UCLA assistant coach during her celebrations. “Watch your mouth,” the SEC Player of the Year seemingly said.

While it wasn’t clear whom the 21-year-old aimed her trash talk at, Reese later confirmed that her remarks weren’t targeted at Bruins head coach Cori Close. “She told me good game,” the LSU star said postgame. “It was another coach that was talking a little crazy.”

Angel ended the game with 16 points, 11 rebounds and one assist. The No. 3 seeded LSU Tigers will await the winner of Iowa and Colorado in the Elite Eight.

The clip of her telling UCLA assistant coach to watch their mouth has since gone viral, garnering mixed reactions from fans. “Idc why she said it, she a black woman and ima stick beside her !! y’all fold too quick on ya own kind over NOTHING but yk who don’t??? lol,” someone commented.

“Lmaoo idc I love her, she don’t take shit from nobody,” another person wrote. “We want our people to stand up for themselves and when they do. Yall want them to become slaves to the sport. Yes Massa ass comments,” someone else penned.

“The coach definitely said something wild because the ‘hey hey’ from the lady in front told it all,” another user wrote. “The lady in front even did the little “hey, hey” so something had to be said disrespectful. Yall be trying to make us hate angel so bad,” added another netizen.
