Big Sean Takes Shots At ‘The Bigger Three’ Drake, Kendrick Lamar And J. Cole On New Freestyle

It seems someone just turned on the heat in the rap game. In the space of 24 hours, we’ve heard two fire diss verses and it’s certain this will birth more. Kendrick Lamar’s recently took shots at Drake and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s song “Like That”, and it appears Big Sean has some things to let out his chest as well.

The Detroit rapper returned with a retribution on the new freestyle he released via Instagram on Wednesday, where he took shots at the “so called bigger three.”

On his latest freestyle titled “Anderson Estate”, Sean Don disses Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. He flipped J Dilla’s beat for a slowed-down version of The Pharcyde’s “Drop” to pass his message.

“I think where I lack most as an artist is consistency/ I just haven’t had the energy to compete with enemies,” Big Sean raps before calling out Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. “Or y’all so-called bigger three/ But every verse I lay, fans love to say, ‘Man, n—– is sleep!’”

The lines appears to be an obvious reference to Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole being commonly referred to as the “Big Three” of rap. Jermaine previously addressed their status on the 2023 Drake collab “First Person Shooter” from “For All The Dogs.

“Love when they argue the hardest MC/Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/We the big three like we started a league, but right now, I feel like Muhammad Ali,” Cole raps on “First Person Shooter.”

Later in the freestyle, Big Sean talks about his younger self. “Sean, how long you knew you was finna win?/ How long you been plottin’ on M’s?/ Since before the TV show/ You was in the office and cutting off friends/ Since the POW chain setting trends, hold up/ How long you been plottin’ on a B?/ Since before you had a song with Jay?/ Since before you knew Jhene?,” he raps.
