Jackboy Arrested On Narcotics And Weapon Charges

An overnight traffic stop in Port St. Lucie led to the arrest of Florida rapper Jackboy, on multiple felony drug and weapons allegations.

Jackboy, was driving a black Chevrolet Suburban shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday when two Port St. Lucie police detectives spotted the SUV on SW Port St. Lucie Blvd., near SW Import Drive, according to the arrest affidavit.

The detectives determined the windows of the Suburban were too tinted and they could smell burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle as it went down the road, one of the detectives wrote in the report. The detective added, when the SUV stopped at a stoplight, the driver allegedly called someone using FaceTime and then kept driving when the light turned green.

Based on those actions, the detectives pulled over the vehicle along SW Tradition Pkwy., just west of the SW Village Pkwy. intersection. The affidavit noted that Delince had to open the door of the SUV because it is bulletproof and the driver’s side window could only roll down part of the way.

Detectives again noted the smell of marijuana and one of them reported seeing a handgun in the Suburban. According to the affidavit, the arresting detective already knew Delince was a convicted felon and had a suspended driver’s license. Soon, detectives were searching the SUV. They reported finding a Glock 19 with an extended magazine, loaded with 33 rounds, as well as marijuana and cannabis-related products.

Delince’s brother, Rodney Delince, showed up at the scene of the traffic stop and claimed the gun was his, the affidavit continued. He reportedly told a detective he bought it for $900 and left it behind after getting dropped off not long before the traffic stop.

He was taken into custody and booked into the Port St. Lucie County jail on counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, use or display of a firearm during a felony, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, as well as multiple misdemeanors.
