Meek Mill ‘Heathenism’ EP Sells 6K First Week

Meek Mill can’t seem to catch a break. The Philadelphia rapper made scandalous headlines last month after he was allegedly named in Diddy’s latest lawsuit. He allegedly slept with the Bad Boy Records founder and it made him a trending topic for days.

Although he vehemently denied these allegations but folks online won’t let him breathe. Amidst the controversy, Meek fortunately survived an accident that wrecked his brand-new car.

He then announced and later released his new EP Heathenism last week. His fans thought this would prove naysayers wrong and help cleanse his reputation from negative news. The EP was met with both praise and criticism from countless fans since its release. Unfortunately, the EP didn’t help subdue the online dragging, instead it intensified it after the EP’s first week sales were revealed.

DJ Akademiks was amongst those who held Meek by the neck when Diddy rumors broke and the blogger made sure to be the one to publish Meek’s fall from grace. According to a recent Tweet from AK, Heathenism sold 6K in its first week.

Of course, the number is far lower than most fans probably expected and it may have just signaled the rapper’s drop in relevancy.

“All that controversy and still couldn’t break 10k,” one critic commented. “Flopped so hard,” another user wrote. Others used the opportunity to joke about Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks’ recent feud, and how glad the latter probably was to spread the news. “Ak rubbing his hands together after getting this information,” someone said.

“The only reason i know Meek dropped anything is cause AK gave him free promotion,” another critic added.
