Michael B. Jordan Says He’s Lonely Because He Puts Too Much Energy Into His Work
Michael B. Jordan Says He Hasn’t Found Someone Who Truly “Understands” Him
Who would’ve thought that one of the “Sexiest Men Alive” would be lonely! Michael B. Jordan opened up about his not-so-great love life while being a guest on ‘On Purpose With Jay Shetty’.
Michael says he often feels lonely because he’s always devoting his time to his craft and not giving the same energy to his relationships. He says he struggles with finding people who understand his passion, but he admits he’s not good at the balancing act.
“There’s a loneliness that I have. The responsibility that you have is isolating and the weight is isolating,” he shared. “The worst part of that is the feeling like nobody really understands. Sometimes falling into the spaces of being alone, feeling alone.”

“I go back and forth between wanting partnership and then not knowing what’s the best partner for me. easy. It’s not just ‘I love you, you love me,’” he explained, adding that even though he believes it “should be enough” to just love your partner, “It’s not quite that simple.”
Michael admits that some of his woes in relationships come from him being an actor from an early age. He feels as though, because he’s always been knee-deep in work, he has never got to truly experience life, which doesn’t make for the best partner.
“There’s also a part of me that really hasn’t lived life yet. … I haven’t traveled for fun,” he shared. “I gotta start living. I’ve sacrificed and I’ve zoned in for so long.
“I’m not looking but it would take a very special person to understand and grow with me.” However, he confirmed he does “want a family eventually,” so he’s not ruling out romance forever. “We’ll see what’s up.”
