Candiace Dillard-Bassett Announces She’s Expecting Her First Child With Her Husband Chris

Last month we reported that Candiace Dillard is leaving The Real Housewives of Potomac. Well, congratulations are now in order for the reality star. Candiace is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Chris Bassett, 46.

The 37-year-old broke the news during an interview with with Entertainment Tonight.

“I am about 13 weeks … so just about into the second trimester. It’s been weird, but also really wonderful, I think, to keep it kind of to ourselves to this point. … It’s just been, like, kind of quietly just growing a bun,” Candiace told the outlet.

“Oh she said yall not finna stress her during her pregnancy,” someone commented on the news. “That’s why she left the show to protect her peace,” another person wrote. “I knew it! She’s coming back after the baby she wasn’t boutta let them stress her out!” someone else added.

The news is coming after Candiace Dillard revealed she wouldn’t be returning to RHOP after season 8. She left the reality franchise after six years on the show, having first joined in season 7.

“As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth and moments of introspection that have defined this journey. With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP,” she said at the time.

Candiace however teased that her exit might only be temporary. “This is not a farewell, but a ‘see you later,’” she said. “Your unwavering support has been my guiding light, and I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead — and more importantly, sharing them all with you!”
