Deion Sanders Says He Wishes His Daughter Deiondra Would’ve Waited Before Getting Pregnant By Jacquees

Despite Deion Sanders not being delighted about being a grandfather, he’s fully supportive of his eldest daughter, Deiondra. The 31-year-old is expecting her first child with R&B artist Jacquees.

In a recent interview with People, Sanders confessed that he hasn’t “fully digested” the news of his unborn grandchild, but expressed pride that Deiondra had reached a critical life stage.

“I haven’t digested that whole thing yet,” the Colorado Buffaloes head coach admitted, adding that “not one thing” excites him about being a grandma.

Deiondra and Jacquees appear to be in excellent spirits as they prepare for the arrival of their first child, which was revealed last month in an Instagram post. Deiondra stated in the post that she is giving birth to “give hope to all the other women that may be in my situation,” following previous health difficulties.

“Even though this was not planned nor expected, this is still something God allowed to happen. I’m not having my baby to keep a man. I am having my baby for all the times I was told I wouldn’t be able to,” she wrote.

“That’s her father, he has every right to feel this way,” someone commented. “Her father seen those messages he sent to Dreezy, he probably was upset about them. But I’m sure once his grandchild get here he’ll be happy,” another person wrote. “In other words he fears she be a baby momma only,” someone else penned.

“A father that cares, y’all new generation be like “she’s grown,”” another user shared. “So in other words he’s disappointed. I would be too especially after he told his ex he didn’t want the child. They won’t be together long after the birth,” someone added.
