Drake Texted DJ Akademiks To Tell Kendrick Lamar To Drop The Diss Track: ‘Let’s Get Active’
DJ Akademiks Claims Drake Told Him To Tell Kendrick Lamar To Drop His Diss Track
Kendrick Lamar took the first shot to reignite his longtime beef with Drake on “Like That” off Future and Metro Boomin’s initial album “We Don’t Trust You,” using J. Cole as collateral damage.
“Sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches / I crash out, like, ‘F**k rap,’ this Melly Mell if I had to,” K. Dot raps on “Like That.”
He continued, “Got two Ts with me, I’m snatchin’ chains and burnin’ tattoos, it’s up/ Lost too many soldiers not to play it safe/ If he walk around with that stick, it ain’t Andre 3K / Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD/ Muthaf**k the big three, n***a, it’s just big me/ N***a, bum, what? I’m really like that.”

Drake finally responded on his recently released diss track “Push Ups”, where he took major shots at the Compton native. “Extortion baby, whole career you been shook up. ’Cause Top told you drop and give me 50 like some push-ups.” The Toronto superstar made sure to repeat “drop and give me 50” lyric throughout the song, trolling K. Dot over a recent IG post of him doing push-ups.
By rapping “drop and give me 50,” Drake is alluding to the idea of Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top” Tiffith taking 50% of Kendrick’s publishing splits and “extorting” him for his entire career.
Following the release, DJ Akademiks is now claiming Drake reached out to him to tell Kendrick Lamar to drop his response diss track, so they can get active. Apparently, Drake is ready for war!
“Can I give y’all the exclusive, so I did the Joe Budden podcast yesterday. We have our private conversation, well the only thing he wanted at least yesterday.. he said ‘Ak when you get on that Podcast n*gga. Let these n*ggas know, tell that motherf*cking n*gga Kendrick to drop the sh*t that we can get active.’”
“His words exactly.. let’s get active. That’s what he said.. let’s get active, tell him to drop that we can get active,” Ak added, screaming at the top of his voice.
Drake texted Akademiks and told him to tell Kendrick Lamar to drop the diss on his episode of the Joe Budden Podcast
