Ella Mai Is Reportedly Pregnant With NBA Star Jayson Tatum’s Baby

It appears we now know why Ella Mai has been laying low lately. The gorgeous R&B singer hasn’t been seen out publicly for about six months. Well there’s a rumor currently circulating online that Ella may be pregnant by NBA star Jayson Tatum.

According to a person on social media, Jason was spotted at “a famous singer’s” baby shower. The father, who isn’t in the know, didn’t know exactly which singer – but speculation is growing that it could be Ella.

Fans seem to believe the rumors. Ella and Jayson first sparked dating rumors in 2021, after they were caught making TikTok videos in the same apartment. In the photo which can be seen below, Ella Mai was spotted out last fall, wearing a dress that could have been hiding a pregnancy.

Jason is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Tatum was a McDonald’s All-American in high school in Missouri and played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.

Tatum was selected with the third overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2017 NBA draft and voted to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2018. A five-time NBA All-Star and three-time All-NBA selection, Tatum was named the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player in 2022 and helped the Celtics reach the NBA Finals.

He also won a gold medal on the 2020 U.S. Olympic team in Tokyo. He holds the record for most points scored in an NBA All-Star game, with 55, and the most points scored in a Game 7 of any NBA playoffs series, with 51.

Ella Mai’s self-titled debut studio album (2018) was preceded by the singles “Boo’d Up” and “Trip”, which peaked at numbers five and 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. The former won Best R&B Song and a nomination for Song of the Year at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, while Mai herself was a nominee for British Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards 2019.

That same year, she won three awards at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, including Top R&B Artist. Her second studio album, Heart on My Sleeve (2023) failed to reach the UK Albums Chart, but performed moderately on the US Billboard 200.
