LeBron James Reacts To Drake Taking Shots At Kendrick Lamar On New Diss Track: “For The Love Off Of The Sport”

LeBron James Reacts To Drake Taking Shots At Kendrick Lamar On New Diss Track: “For The Love Off Of The Sport”

Fans initially thought LeBron James picked a side in the ongoing beef between team Kendrick Lamar and team Drake, after the NBA icon was seen rapping Kendrick’s “Like That” verse, a Drake diss, during a basketball game couple weeks back.

Apparently, he’s only enjoying the beef like most Hip Hop fans are at the moment. Now that Drake has dropped his own response diss track, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has reacted as well.

Following the release of Drake’s diss track “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me Fifty)”, King James took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his thoughts.

LeBron initially shared a reaction suggesting he’s hyped about the track, tweeting Drake’s OVO owl logo with a bunch of fire emojis. In a follow up tweet, he revealed that he’s here for the competition between two “heavyweights.”

“Nothing like 2 heavyweights doing What They Do Best! For the love off of the sport,” the basketball legend tweeted.

On the diss track, Drake fired shots at Kendrick Lamar, rapping, “Extortion baby, whole career you been shook up. ’Cause Top told you drop and give me 50 like some push-ups.” Drizzy made sure to repeat “drop and give me 50” lyric throughout the song, trolling K. Dot over a recent IG post of him doing push-ups.

By rapping “drop and give me 50,” Drake is alluding to the idea of Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony “Top” Tiffith taking 50% of Kendrick’s publishing splits and “extorting” him for his entire career.
