We broke the news that Rod Wave was arrested in Florida for possession of firearm by a convicted felon, per Florida booking records, which show that the rapper real name Rodarius Marcell Green, is in police custody.
The booking record shows that the 25-year-old was arrested on the 3rd of April and is facing a charge of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Rod Wave was apprehended in Pinellas County after allegedly fleeing police. While not much is currently known about Wave’s arrest, his bond was set to $0.

Netizens looked further into his arrest record and found Rod Wave’s height and weight. The plus-sized rapper weight 350 pounds and he’s only 5 ft 6 inches tall.

Rod Wave broke into limelight in 2019 with “Heart on Ice,” which peaked at No. 25 on Billboard Hot 100. His 2021 release, SoulFly, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200. He released “Cold December,” the lead single from his upcoming third album earlier this year, on which he reminisces about past romantic relationships over a sample of Hank Williams Jr.’s “OD’d in December.”
