71-Year-Old Actor Says He's Not Leaving His $40M Fortune To His Children When He Dies
71-Year-Old Actor Says He’s Not Leaving His $40M Fortune To His Children When He Dies: “Row Your Own Boat”

A father is saying f*ck them kids when it comes to leaving behind his $40M fortune after he dies! According to Dailymail, 71-year-old Jeff Goldblum doesn’t want his children inheriting his coin in hopes that they will find their own jobs.

During an appearance on the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi podcast, Goldblum basically said the kids have to get it out the mud.

“Now that I’m raising kids, I’m no conventionalist, but I know the system that we’re in, and I think sooner than later, I don’t want to scare them, they should figure out… but hey, you know, you’ve got to row your own boat,” he explained.

“I’m not going to do it for you. And you’re not going to want me to do it for you,” he continued. Goldblum says he had dreams of becoming an actor and was able to land roles in Jurassic Park, Independence Day, The Fly, and much more.

He says he wants his children to discover that same passion in something that they love and build their own fortunes.

“You’ve got to figure out how to find out what’s wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do. And even if it doesn’t, you might have to do that anyway,” he said.

Folks online have since been reacting to the news. “I thought the whole point of becoming successful was too make vour love ones lives easier, no?” someone commented. “My kids get on my nerves sometimes, but I would never tell them to “row their own boat” That’s wicked,” another person wrote.

“The mother needs to get the maximum amount of life insurance as possible on him and put in those kids names. My child would be getting paid one way or another,” someone else penned.
