YNW Melly Says He's "Appalled" By Kendrick Lamar Mentioning Him In New Song ‘Euphoria’
YNW Melly Says He’s “Appalled” By Kendrick Lamar Mentioning Him In Reference To His Murder Charge For Allegedly Killing His Friends

YNW Melly was name dropped in Kendrick Lamar’s new 6-minute diss song, ‘Euphoria’, towards Canadian lyricist and musical icon, Drake. The rapper told TMZ Hip-Hop that he’s ‘honored’ to be mentioned, but also appalled!

YNW Melly was used as a punch line in Kendrick Lamar’s now-viral “Euphoria” Drake diss hit, which the jailed rapper considers a backhanded compliment.

Midway through the song, Kendrick mentions the rapper and his current double homicide case, in which he is suspected of killing his two buddies, Chris “YNW Juvy” Thomas and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams.

“Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I’m selfish/ The crown is heavy I pray they my real friends/ But if not, I’m YNW Melly,” Kendrick raps on the track.

Of course, this comment put Melly in some heavy light. Melly tells TMZ Hip Hop, “Kendrick Lamar is one of my favorite rappers so I feel honored and appalled … I’m a household name — just for the wrong s**t!!!”.

The rapper was in court last week in Broward County for his double murder retrial, which is currently on ice until further notice.

In February 2019, YNW Melly and his associate Cortlen “YNW Bortlen” Henry were arrested and each charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Authorities say the two men fatally shot their friends, 20-year-old Chris “YNW Juvy” and 21-year-old Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams, in October 2018.

Melly and Bortlen are accused of killing the victims inside a vehicle and then trying to stage the crime to resemble a drive-by shooting. The case has been ongoing since then and YNW Melly has now been incarcerated for 1,899 days despite not being found guilty.
