Kendrick Lamar Allegedly Stole Tweets & Turned Them Into Lyrics For Drake Diss
Kendrick Lamar Accused Of Stealing Tweets & Turning Them Into Lyrics For His Drake Diss Track
We’ve now gone few days without a diss track from Drake’s camp and neither any from Kendrick Lamar’s. Apparently, the diss tirade is over and it’s safe to say Kendrick has an edge over the Canadian rapper with the catchy tune of “Not Like Us”, amidst scathing allegations against each other.
Nevertheless, folks online are faulting the basis of Lamar’s disses. Old tweets are now resurfacing showing Kendrick might have copied them in his diss track.
Some of the tweets are even exactly the same, word for word, ‘bar for bar’. Netizens are now accusing the Compton native of not being genuine in his diss track against Drake and allegedly stealing tweets to get at his foe.
“Certified Lover BOY? More like Certified Pedophile,” one of the old tweet from 2021 reads. On “Not Like Us”, Kendrick raps: “They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs /And Party at the party playin’ with his nose now And Baka got a weird case, why is he around? Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles.”
“Drake’s favorite chord must be a minor,” another tweet from 2021 reads, which is also similar to K. Dot’s bar on “Not Like Us.”
“Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, Dot, fuck ’em up Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, I’ma do my stuff Why you trollin’ like a bitch? Ain’t you tired? / Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor,” he raps at the end of the first verse on “Not Like Us.”
Then a tweet from last years says: “What if drake was called the 69 god.” Sounds familiar too right? That’s because Lamar used the same bar on his diss track.
On the 1st of May, a tweet was made during a conversation calling Drake “B-Rad”, a protagonist from the movie Malibu’s Most Wanted, Kendrick however says this exact same thing on “Not Like Us”.
“Rabbit hole is still deep, I can go further, I promise Ain’t that somethin’? B-Rad stands for bitch and you Malibu most wanted,” the Pulitzer price winner raps on the same track.
It appears Drizzy caught up with the similarities and took a jab at Dot for using tweets in his diss track. “You been hatin’ hard for a very long time It feel like Twitter ghostwritin’ your reply,” he raps on ‘Buried Alive Interlude’.
