There have been uproar online and on the streets over the killing of 16 year old girl Ma’Khia Bryant by a cop. A Columbus, Ohio police officer Nicholas Reardon shot and killed 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant after the teen reportedly called the authorities for help.

There have been several reactions to the case. However, LeBron James tweet on the officer that killed Ma’Khia Bryant has got the NBA star trending.

A seemingly frustrated James shared a screenshot photo of Reardon at the scene of the shooting with a caption that read, “YOU’RE NEXT [hourglass emoji] #ACCOUNTABILITY.”

Not long after sharing the tweet, a U.S. senator accused LeBron James of “inciting violence” against a police officer.

Critics then took to social media to accuse the Lakers star of inciting violence against the officer, forcing LeBron to delete the tweet and replaced it with an explanation regarding why he’s angered by another police shooting involving a child.

“ANGER does any of us any good and that includes myself!” He wrote. “Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail!”

“I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate,” he added. “This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY.”
