Chicago Teen Shot 24 Times While Riding To Store For Snacks In Chicago
A teenage boys life was taken three days ago in Chicago and now his family is calling on the community to help get justice for her sons death.
Sincere Cole, 15, was shot 24 times near a Chicago Lawn Shell gas station on Saturday after going to the store to buy some snacks, WGN9 reported.
Cole’s aunt and legal guardian, Brandy Martin, spoke at a press conference Tuesday asking for people to come forward with information about her nephew’s homicide.
“I’ve got to stand up here and scream from inside out and make sure I get the word out so he won’t be another name, another number, another tag,” Martin told reporters Tuesday. “Don’t forget about us because we’re put in areas that (are) low income.”
A local church named Faith Community has offered $5,000 for anyone who has information on the shooting.
“He’s got siblings who are hurting. He has a father. I am pleading for help from my city to bury my nephew,” Martin shared. “We need help, we need grief counseling.”
“Sincere was creative, ambitious. An entrepreneur at 15. He found a way,” Martin added. “Standing at the gas station pumping people’s gas to make money; it’s better than knocking an old lady in the head for her purse. He didn’t have to die.”
